Part of our Monumental West collection, this
antique reproduction was inspired by the works of
painter Frederic Church (1826-1900). It is a deep
ogee frame with a raised leopard-skin pattern and
a scroll-work liner, topped by a reeded rail and
beveled corner blocks with composition finials and
corner ornaments. Shown water and oil gilt in 22k
gold leaf over brown bole and yellow ochre, with
a mild antiquing.
